Fire exit sign.

Assembly Point - The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 defines it as 'A safe area beyond the premises'.

All escape routes leading from your school or nursery should lead to a place of 'ultimate safety' (not a locked courtyard or compound).

Assembly Point - Things to consider:

  • How many people will evacuate into the area? Is it big enough?
  • Are people far enough away from the building to be safe from falling debris etc?
  • Is the Assembly Point safe? Away from Roads etc?

ISE Fire can assist will all aspects of Fire Safety. A full Fire Risk Assessment completed by us will take into account the Assembly Point and its suitability.
