We can accommodate both small and large groups, and we will work with you to determine the optimal number of participants for an effective and engaging training session.

Usually a fire training session takes 2-3 hours. This obviously depends on the number of staff who require training too.

It helps if you can transfer knowledge on the layout of the facility (if we are unfamiliar with it), and can reference any existing emergency procedures/fire safety measures. Being open to learning, actively participating, and encouraging staff engagement will enhance the effectiveness of the training session.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes a legal requirement that "employees are provided with adequate safety training at the time when they are first employed; and on their being exposed to new or increased risks". What this means is highly dependent on the nature of your business and the risks it faces!

We recommend carrying out fire safety training at least once a year. This can be a simple refresher in some settings, or more intensive in more hazardous settings. Whatever the case, if there are changes to the risk-level or new personnel introduced to the workplace, fire safety training is legally required.

It's a good idea to maintain records of training attendance, training content, dates of training sessions, and any certificates or qualifications obtained by participants. These records serve as evidence of compliance and can be reviewed during inspections or audits by regulatory authorities. We'll also issue employees with a certificate of competence following a training session.

Typically, professional training providers will be registered with recognised body like the Fire Industry Association (FIA) or the British Approvals for Fire Excellence (BAFE) to demonstrate their competency and adherence to industry standards. ISE Fire is registered with both.

There's no one answer for this but some insurance providers may include your overall fire strategy into their formula for calculating insurance premiums. This is of course highly dependent on the overall risk for the insured property.

In a typical fire safety training program, we may cover fire prevention, hazard identification, evacuation procedures, proper use of fire extinguishers, emergency communication, and general fire safety awareness. Participants should walk away with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, respond to, and mitigate fire incidents.

We carry out live fire extinguisher training which not only teaches you about the different types of fire extinguishers, but also which fires to use them on, and then let you have a go at putting out a real fire on our mobile fire trainer. This is the best way to be prepared for the worst, with real experience, so there are no surprises. 

Yes! Fire Safety Guidelines requires that for every twenty employees, one needs to be appointed as fire warden. Our Fire Warden Training equips you to carry out this role effectively covering fire extinguishers and blankets, hose reels and creating emergency plans. Plus, you get to use our real fire training simulator for experience in using fire extinguishers. 

We wont run you through an exam but once everyone has participated in the training, we will issue a certificate of competence which affirms that you've learned about fire safety at the workplace.
